LAST NIGHT…..

SEPTEMBER 24TH
COME PLAY!
YES, There will be a theme!
“Capes” & “Robbers”
Best one gets your picture on moresuper.com with a glowing review of how sUper you are!

For the past year, every Thursday has been sUper!  With local artists, live painters, bands, DJ’s, circus acts, cocktails, guest bartenders.
The time has come to hang our capes in preparation  for MORE SUPER things to come!
I’d like to take this time to thank everyone for support, art, music, talent and having so much fun this past year with us!!
As a wrap up, here are some of our favorite memories from the year’s sUper Thursdays:

  • The “One Will” premier with our Trashed Celebrity theme!  (it really was scarry how easily I fell into such a good rendition of Courtney Love….)
If you missed the movie, you can find it here.
  • Art Brewer Night !
What an honor it was to have surf photography legend, Art Brewer, attend our event & sign his Masters of Surf Photography books!  Thank You as well to the Surfing Heritage Foundation for lending us the 30+ beautiful images that decorated our walls all month of July ‘09
  • EQUALITY EVENT
Special thanks to everyone who showed support for SD Pride & Marriage Equality.  We had a great time & raised awareness (and a little $) for the cause!  We strongly support individual rights and equality.
  • Collide “Fashion meets Art”
After many years of knowing Allison Andrews, APA Consulting, we finally got to throw an event together!  Allison had recently created and executed Fashion Week San Diego and it was a pleasure to work with her and her team!  The results were simply sUper and we look forward to a long friend and business partnership with Allison and the designers.
  • The Themes!
After nearly a year of this weekly event, we have worn some pretty outrageous and fun outfits!  (Most of you know Jordan and I are typically dressed nearly identical…..She’s gotten use to it by now!)
  • Live Art
Every week, we featured various artists and included live painters.  These artists are amazing and it’s truly special to be there when the creation is happening!  Special thanks to our regular crew:  Alex Julian, Franky Agostino, Mark Jesinoski, Vincent Gordon, E-Man and so many more! (links to all on this site)
  • Live Music
We had the pleasure of many diverse musical talents & hope to see them all go on to reach their dreams!  Special thanks to:  Los Hollywood, FUZZ, Stealing Love Jones, Awesome New Republic, Geezer (with their Beastie Boys set!), Run Honey, Pau Hana, Mono-Mono,
& so many more!  (links to all on this site)
  • Dance to The DJ
By far, my favorite type of way to groove:  A good friggin DJ!  We opened sUper Thursdays by being sUper enough to enlist Mix Architekt to be our original resident DJ.  We bid him farewell as he and wife depart to begin their new lives living in Thailand.  Keep up with his new mixes here.  Without the help of our other favorite DJ’s like The Pied Piper, Monchis, Mike Mae & Brooklyn, we never would have been able to maintain our sUper ranking!
  • The best assistant –EVER!
Next time you see Jordan, be sure to tell her how amazing she is –Cuz, she is!  Without Jordan, “more sUper” would likely be “mostly okay”.
Between the crazy outfits I think up and the long lunches discussing every aspect of life, Jordan brings a touch to more sUper that would be impossible to exist without her genuine approach and clever words.  Thank you Jordan from all of us for all those times you shared yourself to be our errand girl, our support and mostly our friend….
  • Cocktails?!
With the help of Brandon (not only pouring your drinks, but also booking all those sUper Thursday bands you came out to see!) and Wes, the bar continuously is it’s own show!  These guys aren’t your “come sob to the bartender” types…..because they’re gonna get you to laugh (usually at themselves!) and enjoy your cocktail!  Thank you boys!  –and our guest bartneders:  Jimbo, Dan, Gavin, Justin & more!
  • Everybody Loves Brian
Likely the best looking door man in San Diego (even in Hillcrest!)  You’re rad Brian , you know it, we know it.
  • The Ruby Room
This spot has been our home every Thursday and Brittni and Sean have been amazing.  Having been friends for years, it’s always nice to be able to build something so special with those you love!  Thank You both we’ll be back soon!  we *heart* you
  • Best Attendance Award
Paris Davis!  Not only is everyone now wearing a tie bracelet, but you’ve never missed a sUper Thursday!  You win!  You win!
